2 cups pumpkin seeds
2 cups sunflower seeds
2 cups slivered almonds
6 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp salt
Combine in a bowl and stir with spatula. Split the nut/seed mixture between 2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake in 350° oven for 15 minutes or until just slightly roasted. Cool fully on parchment paper and then break into smaller pieces. At this point, you can stop and eat like this. Or you can continue on for another flavor.
Put nut/seed mixture back in the bowl and stir in:
2 cups Craisins
Zest of one orange
This is quite excellent too. However, I find that the addition of the craisins softens the nuts somewhat and the nut chunks seem to fall apart. It’s good either way.
